At work, I pay attention, and can work all day with absolute focus. It is part of the contract I willingly engaged in, and it pays for me having a nice life outside those seven or so hours a weekday.
In private though, my attention is purposefully divided across many fields. Family and Love usually gets my full attenttion, but other than that, I distribute my time into several streams of conscience, largely aimed at finding the foundations of our existence in this realm.
I find it intriguing how everything can be seen as a System, without judging it good or bad immediately. But all of these Systems can only exist in their own Environment, and these environments are usually entangled in several ways. It can be hard to clearly see how these hidden connections influence your interaction with your environment.
