Before implies a point of origin, specifically in time. But time is not linear. As dr. Who called it, it is Wibley-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey. Loops within loops, some big, some small, some traveled once, others countless times. Over time I have heard some people repeat the same remarks over and over again, and I am probably guilty of that myself. I'll give you an example: whenever my parents visited me, while driving to my address, dad would always remarks about the balconies of the homes along the way: they were like metal boxes, which apparently went totally against his idea of aesthetics.
