Being Evolved Has Always Valued Intelligence Over Reductionism

There is a difference between doing science and doing research: science is about the rigid proof of a concept as it can be explained by existing laws of nature man already discovered, while research is more of an exploration into uncharted territory, trying to find new ways in which to function beyond the known limits and restrictions of "normal" scientific concepts.

We evolve by intelligently exploring new borders where no one has gone before, with the intrepid explorer's courage. This is probably why nerds are so attracted to Star Trek...

And behavior brings us to some pretty cool examples: animals showing acts of compassion where otherwise they would bemortal enemies: a goat left as live prey for a tiger in the zoo, where the latter befriends the former. Or an elephant learning the trick of exacting a toll fee from passing banana trucks: one blocking the road, while the other one takes a few big bunches of bananas from the open truck.
