There was a time that fires were put out by a bucket brigade: a bunch of people standing evenly spaced, passing buckets full of water towards the fire, and empty buckets back towards the lake or pond where water could be found to put it out.
Another situation where buckets are still in use today is modern science: the atomic model defined by Niels Bohr says electrons are reigned by distinct energy levels, and hence can only circle the atoms in certain trajectories. But is this true? Sound frequencies can vary in infinitely small increments, but the cymatic patterns they produce have definite sizes. Could atoms be 3D cymatics?
