The Chronovisor is a "magical" machine that is said to be kept hidden in the Vatican Archives. It allows people to see the future, but stories are going that those who alledgedly were using it in secrecy were not at all happy with what they saw, as it signaled their control of this world would come to an unavoidable end.
I myself don't think the future is set, and therefor predictable. My thoughts about the future may seem to indicate a certain direction that events are taking us, but this very much a team effort: it is all of us together who cause the interference patterns of light that eventually must be aligned enough to overcome the dark. But keep in mind that two or more light sources cause dark and light areas and patterns, which are called Moiré patterns.
