Entangled is so much more than connected in the English language. It implies being hard to separate, rather than being distinct from one another even if there is a connection between the parts. In modern artificial_intelligence products, the various facts the program knows about the outside world are entangled in the large language models, and can not easily be separated. On the other hand traditional programming - even if complex - is often more a set of precisely connected lines of code grouped into logical routines and functions.
And in quantum theory the meaning of entangled is even more mysterious: two entangled particles share a bond across time and space that determines their fate : if one changes, the other does so too, regardless of the distance between them. This change is instantaneous, not even restricted by the speed of light!
