Family always comes first for me, but the friends I have I also consider family. All others are in the category "Help if you can when they ask". And that is because I found that trying to help people who don't ask is usually not appreciated...
Yesterday was an almost strick family day, where we had four generations of the same family in the house to celebrate the Mum's 92nd birthday. It was fun, but by the time they all went home again, Mum and me were happy to be on our own again!
