Over the time of my life there have be numerous forks in my road, and some have come around several times. In hindsight that might be grounds for regret, but I learned to not engage in such non-productive behavior.
One of these forks had to do with me considering myself a pacifist, and finding myself presented with competing job offers where one would be considered OK, and the other as having to do with weaponry or other tools of desctruction.
But I've always considered any tool to be subject to the intention of its users. So the last job switch I chose differently, and got a job that involved high tech stuff, since it was the second time I got offered that job. And the technology I learned there drastically changed my understanding of the world around me!
