Once you begin to follow the upward spiral of pronoia, most things become fun. Some may be events you do not know how to handle best, but then you will still feel that nothing is ever constant, as change is the only constant here!
There is no profit to be had from going the other way, and letting paranoia rule your life (or ruin it). But that does not mean falling for every trick in the book. Fortunately discernment and intuition will give you plenty of signals to avoid being fooled. If it feels wrong, don't go for it!
