"Givers need to set limits, because takers won't" is a phrase often heard. And it is true, at least partially. If you believe in a finite reality, then you need to make sure your cup isn't empty, or you won't be able to give anymore...
But there are also a class of believers that know Reality to be infinite. And the weird thing is that you can actually keep giving even if the normal people believe it would not be possible. I am not a bible thumper, but it sounds a lot like the story of the loaves and the fishes, but at a less grand scale: If you give more, the Grand Overall Design sees to it that you get more!
