I don't know about you, but I've always found the pursuit of knowledge to be a worthy activity. Especially the pursuit of knowledge of self! It is the key to find your purpose, or even to define it for yourself. But there is a difference between knowledge and knowing: the first will be something you think you know, but it can still be true or false, or incomplete.
The latter is this feeling that you know something to be true, but you cannot explain why you know. You just know... This is far more based on intuition than logic. It is hearing something and having your entire being resonating with it, like a tuning fork does when a fork with the same frequency it struck nearby.
It is like that quote from the movie Contact: "there, within the message, was the key itself"
