Another gem of wisdom from the Book of Elon, is the viewpoint of seeing any team as a product of vectors: they may all have varying length, but if they are pointing into random directions, the net result will be far less than if they are all aligned. That is why all the Musk companies are so hugely successful, as they all have a mantra, a mission statement that often has nothing to do with keeping profits flowing, but much more with whatever civilizational hurdle the company was created to address!
I heard some of those concepts before of course, but someone just stated this morning on X that where Steve Jobs was like an eighty percent focus, Elon Musk is a hundred percent focus, often sixteen hours or more per day, seven days per week, week in, week out!
And since he is both the economical and the engineering creative force behind his companies, his views on execution carry more than just average weight around the workplace.
