I was convinced of reincarnation before, since I read of a doctor who spent his lifetime researching cases of reincarnation, and following up on the verifiable information those cases presented. But consciously knowing it is correct, and actually feeling like it is the truth that transcends the previous feeling of being alive.
But reincarnation is even possibly overlapping lifetimes, and even so-called "walk-ins" have been reported, where one soul leaves, and another completes the lifetime. In a way it is quite similar to the Stargate SG-1 episode called "the Gamekeeper", where the team members are placed back in situations where they lost friends and family, possible to make the outcome different this time around.
And I feel there is something similar within our physical lifetimes, similar to what the SG-1 crew is now experiencing: we do things wrong, and life gives us opportunities to redo it, until we get it right!
