One of my heroes is undoubtedly Linus Torvalds, who gave the world the Linux kernel. One of those people who do things because they feel right, rather than doing things because they make him rich. Linus is still a paid employee of the Linux Foundation, rather than someone who got rich of his side project.
But that Linux kernel is running on the majority of computers in vastly different areas of computing: Servers, PCs, laptops, IoT devices, even weapons of war. I'm not sure whether that will be like this for a long time, because the concept of computing is about to make a shift from the traditional Operating System to something more suitable for AI inference.
