Lotteries and other random stuff hardly ever work for me. But then that is probably because I have not yet unlearned the conditioning that keeps this aspect of the grander reality away from me. My Granddad and Dad always played the lottery, and while my Granddad never spoke of his winnings, my Dad often enough said: "I never win anything!".
That idea permeated his life so much that in the end he just gave up and wanted to die. And that is hard, seeing someone give up while there is still hope.
But even though random does not seem to work for me, I do believe that the Grand Overall Design always comes through for me, but mostly in ways that are to weird to be called random. It might fire me from one job, but then land me another that is way more interesting in many ways!
