Wouldn't you sometimes wish for life to be simpler? I do, and so I don't fret when changes come. Deal with them one at a time, select the best outcome for each choice given to you, and the future cannot be anything other than better every single time.
And gratitude is the driving force that consistently brings more opportunity to your life. It will come, and mostly from changes you never expected to be fortunate for you. So I enjoy whatever comes, and simply won't let anything bring me down!
