Separation is an illusion which might seem very persistent, but at the same time there are connections everywhere. Just Google your name and you will probably find things you never expected to find. Or push F12 in the browser and check the network tab to see how many connections a given site will take you to. For moorelife.nl this should yield few surprises, since I only use plain HTML and CSS, and have absolutely no links to advertizing of any sorts, but the average website on the Internet will probably send requests to other sites than the one where you wish to open a specific page. On top of that, there will already have been a connection to the DNS server to translate the URL into an IP address.
DNS is sort of like the Yellow Pages from the past, where you yourself needed to let your finger do the walking in order to find the telephone number for a given company or person.
