The real discoveries are often started with a subtle whisper instead of a big bang. It is a flood of subtlety that eventually grows into an unstoppable wave. And quite often that wave appears in several places at once, because people tend to want to work on novelty, tryinf to drive progress further and further.
I too am involved in various avenues of discovery, trying to understand the world without and its relation to the world within. This sentence leads me to the thought that "without" associates with lack, whereas "within" associates with something being there. As such, I believe the human evolution is not so much an evolution as Darwin coined it, but a steady growth towards more unity.
