Symbols are important to mankind, because everything from mathematics, language and other things are based on them. One of the most basic of symbols is the Circumpunct, usually shown as a circle with a dot in it, which in its entirety means "the Sun".
Should we then all start worshiping the Sun? Nah, I don't think so. In my beliefs the circumpunct is basically a simpler symbol that preceeded the Yinyang, as the latter is about twice as complex.
But at the same time the circumpunct is a combined symbol, of a dot and a circle, so would anyone like to venture a guess as to what those two might mean? I am going for the simplest explanation: the dot is the self, consciousness, the I of whoever uses the symbol. The circle is that which is around the self, the environment or the world, this reality...
For me, there is more, but that belongs in another story.
