Isaac Asimov formulated the three laws of robotics on my father's first birthday, December 23rd, 1940, during a conversation with editor John W. Campbell, after which it first appeared in print in the 1942 short story "Runaround".
The three laws appeared in the moorelife acrosstics a few years ago, but I never got around to actually fill in the page story for it. But oddly enough the sentence it forms was a belief I did not consciously put together at the time. Still though, my intuition brought it forward as a distinct possibility. That was around the time I, Robot came out, which I believe was around 2004. By now, 21 years later, this future is coming closer and closer.
