I am an upliftere, who learned early in life what Thumper used to say: "If you don't know anything nice to say, it is better to not say anything". That does not imply that when my wifey wishes to hear my opinion on something, I lie to her. But whatever I do say will be in a constructive and encouraging tone, not blunt force critique.
As a result I am able to work with most people, even when my coworkers are actively trying to get rid of them because they do not contribute enough to the team in their eyes. That might put me a bit outside the team, and might lead to me eventually being asked to leave as well, but that is the consequence of my life's choices.
