Spring is aptly named in English, as it is the season that puts a spring back into most people's walks. Weather getting better than in Winter, and not yet unbearably hot like in Summer. In Dutch the name for it is lente, which does not have this association with people's attitudes about the weather. But it is true that usually humans are more grateful about spring than they are about winter.
