Expectation kills suprise, that is a fact: the more you want things to happen, the more frustration makes it feel like it will never arrive. Those who expect nothing get to the point where anything happening is considered a surprise, even those things others might call negative because they expected something else to happen. Although it is said only dead fish go with the flow, it is the smart fish that plays dead who invariably gets lead right down to the plentifullness of the ocean! So, act to win or relax to get to the optimum place? I know where I want to be, and I choose moorelife...

I acted out of self-preservation when breaking of a relationship recently, but found out soon enough that going with the flow lead me right back there. Was I wrong then? No, because the time in between helped me get back on my feet again, and gave me the insight needed to do things right this time. Everything is a lesson, even that which we aim to avoid. And so I'm back in the river, going with the flow and enjoying the surprise called the present that is currently leading me to better times.
