Although the author himself called this a bad idea in this 
, he still went with it, and made a table out of denim! He initially went for a stack of used jeans, but it soon turned out that the amount of used jeans required for the table top would be prohibitive in cost, compared to newly manufactured cloth. Of course you have to use copious amounts of crystal clear bonding material to turn layers of denim into something resembling wood, but fortunately that was donated by a company wanting to connect its name to a novel use for its products.
In the end thoguh, it showed that some people love to work for the love of it, and that such enthusiasm is often repaid in kind. All in all, the end result was a one of a kind table, that would have been priced in the high end of the market. Luckily though, it did not go there...
