Hi, meet Alpha, a deity I had the fortune to have in my life for a number of years. Not that I really wanted a dog, since as a single guy working 40 hours a week I felt I could not properly take care of one. But my daughter wanted it, and it was hers when she still lived with me. But then she moved into a fourth floor apartment without an elevator, and Alpha never learned to climb stairs...
And so he became my buddy, but he wss a true Alpha: even me with my nearly two meters and well over one hundred kilograms could hardly keep him in check. You might say he taught me that control is an illusion. And that in more ways than one. In the end when my Mum moved in, we could no longeer keep him, and found him a new home. But I still have many photos of him in my home.
