Why is it we can't seem to live together with a fair bit of tolerance for one another? Or could it be that most people do, but they are constantly bombarded by forces that thrive on people's fears, which thus are aimed at increasing those levels of fear?
Of course such extreme behavior will automatically instigate an opposing and equal force to counteract said increase in negativity. Human empathy only goes far when it is coupled to a certain intolerance towards powers that aim to subvert harmony, because it brings them wealth and power.
