Some people think we are doomed, but I am not one of them. Despite ancient civilizations having gone the way of the Dodo, humanity is still here, and Elon_musk is working hard to make us a multi-planetary species, which would drastically improve our chances of survival in the case of a planet-size disaster. On top of that, some of his other companies are working equally hard to develop new technologies aimed at making manufacturing and living and transportation drastically more efficient.
With it comes an openminded approach to sharing information, liking making public patents, offering to license software others are nowhere near a proficient in, and basically engouraging companies to work together rather than compete.
