Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And currently there is a force driving us to forget certain aspects of the past, so the forces that be can steer us down that path again. The current protests by the farmers are very reminiscent of the time when Stalin nationalized the food production, and centralization led to famine and disaster. The current push to shut down farmers is leaning dangerously into that direction.
