Silence is awesome in that it allows for deep thought to surface: when your train of thought is about to derail trying to find a certain piece of information in the grey mass you call a brain, then NOT focusing on that action brings the answer forward that much faster. It is like letting the surface of the pond grow still, so you can clearly see the tiny goldfish move around under the surface.
One experience I still wish to cross off my bucket list is the floatation tank: submerged in water at body temperature, and totally isolated from outside noise will silence the mind to such an extent that remarkable things start to come forward...
