While ChatGPT was the very first chatbot that could keep me involved for more than 5 minutes, it still only shows a good performance where it comes to generating language, rather than truly understanding what it is talking about. As such, I think it is a nice tool, but it is prone to halucinations at times. Also it is not very good yet at first time right output.
So while the future is "Exciting to live in" as Mouse said to Neo in the Matrix, I think we are still quite some distance away from computers that actually understand what you are asking, and which will understand the reasons why they are giving the answers they do.
