Why is it, that design so often thwarts easy repairability? As a Repair Café volunteer I encounter it time and time again: screws skillfully hidden by using invisible clamps that show no hint about how to open up a device to be able to repair it.
It cannot be denied that some manufacturers intentionally do this so only their service centers can fully service the devices, but quite often it is also just wanting to have a seamless design for no other goal than aestetics.
I for one love the electronics from the eighties and nineties, when service manuals could just be ordered, and screw holes where clearly visible and even marked as to which ones to undo for properly opening the case.
