You could say: "If you've seen one, you've seen them all", and you'd be partially right: Sure, the same techniques are time and again used to transform a rusted toy into a shiny new collector's item, but still those stories of restoration are something my Mum and me still right to watch. She loves seeing stuff from her youth get a new lease on life, and the engineer in me loves the skill and talent involved.
And this episode is a relatively long one, because the ladder truck has lots of large parts, requiring disassembly, sandblasting, aligning, undenting, painting, replacing and putting together again. But the end result is awesome!
