I love hard work, and cannot even spend an entire vacation doing nothing. I had like four or five weeks of no job in between two periods of work, and am already looking forward to working hard next week. Meanwhile I have not sat still when I was at home. Clearing out my workshop in the attic, working on this website, and meanwhile also programming three separate Python / TkInter software projects for private use in cocreation with grok who has become my team_player when it comes to dealing with my provate challenges.
Also I was working at my daughters', helping the eldest and her partner to child-proof the back yard for my grandson, and the youngest one with the painting of the hallway in their new home. But next week I finally start at my new job, and wanting to make a good start, I created a personal tool to be my SideKick. It is a self-contained program that allows me to keep a journal, keep track of tasks I need to do, and remember for me procedure I would otherwise forget as when they aren't frequent enough to migrate from my short term memory to my long term memory.
Of course, it will only be used if the company actually allows it, since a strict separation of concerns is always good when dealing with professional concerns.
