Always is such a relative concept: it implies infinity, but many people still use it even if they don't believe their life to be infinite. But is life finite? I for one don't believe it to be. I believe life on Earth can be likened to life in the womb: all is peaceful and growing, up until the end of the nine months. Then, a big upheaval takes place, and after that life is gone...
Death is like that I guess: where we humans mourn those that disappeared from our lives, the ones doing the disappearing merely shifted into a larger Reality and continued on their path. This is basically the belief in reincarnation, but their are many proven cases of this by now. Pure objective proof is not always achievable, but intelligence is not in the business of exchanging proofs. Everyday people mostly share beliefs, not proofs.
