Many Wall Street anaylysts and non-engineering people think Tesla's Optimus is "just another robot". But there is so much more to Optimus: it will revolutionize the way manufacturing will be done, eliminating human operators for feeding the Kuka industrial robots, and even making obsolete some of the industrial robots thus minimizing the amount of floor space needed in the factory.
It will also eventually do away with the very elaborate safety cages, because the Optimus will be able to choreograph its way around the industrial robots. I am not sure how fast all this will develop, but I always figured a robot will be good if it can do what I usually do when arriving in the office: open the dishwasher, and unpack it without breaking anything...
