Is crime defined as a violation of laws, or is it nowadays more like the little Asian waitress clone in the movie Cloud Atlas said: "I will not be subjected to Criminal Abuse!" The offense wasn't so much a breaking of laws in that case, but the general mistreating or disrespect of one human against another.
I claim that despite the obvious focus of the media on crime and war and hatred, most humans just want to live in peace with their fellow humans, but their ignorance of the real conditions others live in is keeping them from accepting foreigners as worthy of living wherever on this world they please.
