We all have rituals in our lives, whether it is that first cup of coffee joining us when we get into the car to drive to work, or the habitual half an hour of meditation before bed. But unless there is a real intention behind those rituals, you usually don't get much from them.
For me, showering is a ritual which flushes out the negative energies that may have clung to me over the past day(s), and the hot water on my head feels heavenly when it flows through my skull (or so it seems). Drying after that is equally a ritual, which takes a clearly defined pattern of wiping: head, chest, back, arms, then finally legs. After that I am good to go!
