Trying to make sense of the outside world, and interacting with it at the same time without going inside every once and a while will give you a chaotic path of pros and cons acting out their influence over you. Without the inner you, life is like a game of pinball, you being constantly bounced everywhere because you do not use any of your innner strength and wisdom to alter your path intentionally.
Life is not about constantly overthinking all life choices to their ultimate nature, because nothing is ultimate: try to decide whether to be a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore will lead you down the path of "What has Life?" Once you figure out Life is Everywhere, then meat, veggies and other food are all alive, and the choice becomes one of personal preference. You may choose to skip meat because of the suffering of the animals, but eating the plants is also a form of consuming life...
