In the beginning there was darkness and then there was light . Of course the bible is not to be taken literally, but it does tell us how light or energy is the basis of reality , instead of the earth and the heavens. But is there really a beginning? In my humble opinion, there is an origin, but not a beginning as in there first being nothing and then being something. Now I am not really an in depth student of the bible because I have more than enough reasons to believe it was corrupted by numerous modifications over time , but I also believe that source will always find a way to convey truth through obfuscation.
